"
The vision for a Cameroonian cultural center took root on November 11, 2023, during the Haut-Nkam Annual Gala held at the Serbian Hall. It was here that key leaders within the Cameroonian community came together to recognize the importance of establishing a dedicated cultural sanctuary—one that would honor and preserve our rich heritage. As the first generation with both the opportunity and responsibility to create a lasting legacy, we committed to making this vision a reality.
This commitment culminated in the launch of the 4CE (Cameroonian Canadian Cultural Centre of Edmonton) on May 18, 2024, during our annual gala. The event also marked the 15th anniversary of the Cameroonian Association of Edmonton (CAE-ACE) and celebrated Cameroon Day, with over 470 attendees and dignitaries, including several Members of Parliament and Members of the Legislative Assembly.
In the photograph, from left to right, are the presidents of the Haut-Nkam Family Association of Edmonton (HNFAE), the Cameroonian Association of Edmonton (CAE-ACE), the Nde Association of Edmonton (NAE), and the Pooh Menoua Association of Edmonton (POMAE). Alongside these four, we are actively engaging with 15 additional Cameroonian associations to join us in this endeavor. We invite every Cameroonian-Canadian to take part as stakeholders, united in writing this historic chapter for our community.

Cultural Empowerment
-OUR VISION-
The 4ce project envisions a vibrant future that transcends Edmonton, serving as a catalyst for cultural engagement among the Cameroonian diaspora. By launching the 4c “e” (Edmonton) cultural centre, the initiative sets the stage for a broader network of 4c centres in key Canadian cities. These include the Canadian Cameroonian Cultural Centres in Ottawa (4co), Montreal (4cm), Toronto (4ct), and Vancouver (4cv). Each centre aims to foster cultural exchange and community building, representing a generational investment in the richness of Canada’s cultural mosaic. The 4ce project aspires not only to celebrate Cameroonian heritage but also to inspire similar initiatives across various communities, ensuring that the contributions of the diaspora are woven into the fabric of Canadian society.
